I am never alone~

Do you remember your first day of school? My son is 9 and i remember his first day of school very well. On that first day of school, you step out of the familiar enviroment into the mystery of the unknown. Those who you have loved and relied on take you to the door of something big, something pretty scary, and they leave you. You tell yourself your not going to cry. Yet, at that critical moment, the moment you are forced to stand on your own, the breakdown comes. You stand there fumbling with buttons on your brand new shirt, trying so hard to be brave, but wanting to run and hide. You might even kick and scream in protest. You may even lose your dignity by begging and pleading for things not to change. No one seems to be listening to you. They are all trying to convince you that it will be okay. Inevitably; one of the big people leans down. In that moment, regardless of what is said, the voice of God speaks directly into your heart, “Fear not; I AM WITH YOU!”
Each new day and every new experience is just like the first day of school. It is a renewal of God’s promises to never ever leave you. If you can stop crying long enough to hear the promise, someone will take your hand and lead you to the classroom of life. By the end of the day, you may feel a little embarrassed about the way you behaved as you realize there really wasnt anything to be afraid of because you are never alone. God promised to stay with you and he has.
As i sit back today, looking at my life. Looking at choices i have made. I ask God to give me strength and help me as i step beyond my comfort zone. God always fulfills every promise. God is always by my side!
Deuteronomy 31:6
The Message (MSG)
6 “Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.”
Matthew 11:28-29
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul.
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Great tie in from the fear if first day at school until the choices of today. Great post!
“If you can stop crying long enough to hear the promise…” 11 words worth clinging to! After all, the Beatitudes don’t say, “Blessed are the whiners”. Have a whineless day.
